The knowledge of God is very far from the love of Him.

Manufactured Authenticity

Faded jeans, relic guitars, fake antiques. Everyone likes the idea of old things, but no one wants to do the work required to get them. We don’t need to anymore. We can manufacture authenticity!

We’re not far away from seeing pre-worn Bibles in the local Christian bookstore. Just like your grandfather’s, only $99. A worn Bible is appealing, but not the patience and dedication it takes to buy a new one and wear it out through a lifetime of study.

In 100 years, will there be any antiques from our generation? Have we built anything worth keeping?

    Excellent blog.

I used to think your blog was ugly.

Usually, black and white and gray in a blog is ugly.

    Not so here.
