The knowledge of God is very far from the love of Him.

Three Stages of Passion

The three stages of passion:

  1. Ignorant and excited
  2. Knowledge, accompanied by disillusionment
  3. Greater knowledge, resulting in renewed and lasting excitement

Each of them has its exclusive wisdom. There is a uniqueness in the optimistic curiosity that believes and hopes for the best; there is a uniqueness in the skepticism that causes a person to seek the truth and reject the things they used to believe; there is a uniqueness in the strong desire that is developed by experience, maturity, and knowledge.

This applies to everything: faith, love, learning an instrument, starting a new job. Many passions fall by the wayside in the second stage, and often rightfully so. But once a passion has makes it to the third stage, it becomes a part of who you are, and others will see as part of you, for better or for worse.
